Alazar's Daycare Education

Alazar is a happy one-year-old boy with a bright smile, in need of sponsorship at the HFK Daycare.

We met Alazar and his mother nearly a year ago, when she joined a short-term women’s empowerment project with Hope for Korah. As a single mother, she was previously forced onto the streets with her newborn to beg for food. Through her dedication to the program, she quickly learned new skills and, within six months, joined the basket weaving group. Now working full-time, she finds it challenging to care for Alazar while maintaining her job, often bringing him along to work, which limits her productivity and income. Sponsoring Alazar at the daycare would support his healthy development and allow his mother to focus fully on building a stable, independent life for their family.

Alazar is a healthy child who enjoys playing with balls, walking with one-hand support, and interacting with other children. His favorite food is pasta.

Attending the HFK Daycare will provide Alazar with daily meals, social interaction, and early learning opportunities. The daycare serves as a safe haven in the Korah slum, where children receive love and care from staff, make friends, and begin preparing for Kindergarten. Daycare Sponsorship will help Alazar break the cycle of poverty by nurturing his mind and giving him hope for a brighter future.
