Yeabsira's Education

Yeabsira, a joyful and inquisitive child, thrives at school and is a quick learner.

In his early years, Yeabsira lived in a small, dilapidated house made of mud, wood, and plastic, located next to the trash dump. A few years ago, we met Yeabsira and his family when they joined the Family Empowerment Program. The Hope for Korah daycare became a safe and welcoming space for him, and he quickly began to thrive. Last year, Yeabsira graduated from the HFK daycare and started kindergarten. He is a social child who listens well, plays nicely with his peers, enjoys attending church with his parents, and helps his mother around the house whenever he can. He also attends the new weekly Hope for Korah kindergarten program, where he enjoys spending time with friends, singing songs, and listening to Bible stories.

Yeabsira is now 5 years old and enrolled in KG-2 at Vision Academy, a private school that offers a higher standard of education with smaller class sizes, quality teaching, and greater support from teachers. His Educational Sponsorship will cover tuition, uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, after-school tutoring, youth activities, and the Berta Breakfast provided each morning before school. This support will help Yeabsira break the cycle of poverty by empowering his mind and providing hope for a brighter future.
