Tarikua dreams of becoming a pharmacist to bring meaningful change to her impoverished community.
Growing up in extreme poverty, Tarikua has faced many challenges. Her father, who has been blind for most of her life, supports the family by begging on the streets each day. Witnessing his struggles has deeply inspired her to pursue a career where she can provide quality care to those in need — people like her father.
Tarikua has been part of HFK’s youth programs since Grade 7, participating in Girls’ Soccer, Book Review Club, Kindness Team, and more. She shares that HFK has made a positive impact on her life, education, and behavior. Today, she is determined to continue her education, achieve her goal of becoming a pharmacist, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
We believe that post-secondary school will be an important and positive change in Tarikua's life, and we are excited for this next step in her education journey. This post-secondary education sponsorship will cover school fees and supplies, materials, and transportation costs needed for her to complete his program. In turn, this will help Tarikua break the cycle of poverty by empowering her mind and offering hope for a better future.
