Bayush dreams of becoming a nurse so she can use her gifts to serve others.
Bayush grew up in northern Ethiopia, and her father passed away when she was just one year old. At age seven, her family moved to the city and settled in Korah, where Bayush attended school and recently graduated from high school. She is known for her servant heart—volunteering to help others in need and actively serving in her local church.
A few years ago, Bayush’s mother remarried a blind, widowed man who had twins from his previous marriage, one of whom has severe special needs. Bayush has worked hard to care for her stepfather and his children, managing household chores, assisting her siblings with homework, and helping with transportation to daycare, school, and HFK’s youth center.
Despite these challenges, Bayush holds on to the hope of one day becoming a nurse, so she can continue offering compassionate care to those in need—especially the poor in her community. Sponsorship would not only open the door to education and a brighter future for Bayush but also bring lasting impact and stability to her entire family.
Post-secondary education will be a transformative step in Bayush’s life, and we are pleased to support her as she begins this next chapter. Sponsorship will cover tuition, school supplies, materials, and transportation, enabling her to complete her program. This support will help Bayush break the cycle of poverty, empower her mind, and offer hope for a brighter future.
