Fitsum's Education

Bright and creative, Fitsum is a 6-year-old who loves art and colouring.

Living with his parents and three brothers, Fitsum is growing up in a loving family where his parents work hard to provide through their small spice business. A bright and motivated student, he loves learning and is always eager to participate in class. His teachers recognized his strong abilities and advanced him ahead a grade level after seeing his excellent progress. He especially enjoys English and Amharic and is excited to continue growing in his education through opportunities like HFK’s new after-school tutoring program for kindergarten students.

Friendly and active, Fitsum enjoys creative activities, playing with his friends, and learning new things. His curiosity and enthusiasm are evident in the classroom, and he continues to develop confidence and new skills as he grows. With the support of his family and HFK programs, he is building a strong foundation for his future.

Fitsum is enrolled in KG-3 at Future Academy, a private elementary school in Korah that offers a higher standard of education through smaller class sizes, quality teaching, and greater individual support. An Educational Sponsorship will cover his tuition, school uniform, textbooks, school supplies, after-school tutoring, participation in Hope for Korah youth programs, and a nutritious Berta Breakfast each morning before school. In addition, Hope for Korah provides Kindergarten tutoring once a week plus a Saturday KG Bible Club, helping children build confidence, strengthen their learning skills, and grow in their faith. This support will help Fitsum break the cycle of poverty by empowering his mind and offering hope for a brighter future.
