HFK Daycare

The HFK Daycare serves as a safe haven, providing a special place for children to explore and grow, in the midst of deep poverty and hardship.

Before joining the program, many of these beautiful children spent their days wrapped on their mothers’ backs while they begged on the streets or worked at the trash dump. Through the gift of the HFK Daycare Program, mothers now have the assurance that their children are safe, loved, and well cared for, allowing them to pursue education and work toward a more stable future for their families.

Each weekday, the HFK Daycare helps build a strong foundation for these young minds through early childhood education, nutritious meals, engaging games, individual and group play, and scheduled rest time. Some highlights at the centre include the new trampoline, sandbox and water table, dress-up outfits, and a variety of themed play centres that encourage imagination. Listening to stories, singing songs, and celebrating birthdays are also favorite activities among the children.

With over 40 children attending the daycare, including several with physical and/or learning disabilities, this program plays an integral role in supporting families within the Korah community. Your sponsorship helps provide daily nutritious meals, loving and trained staff, a safe and welcoming facility, opportunities for learning and social interaction, as well as regular deworming and medical assessments.
