Unable to afford childcare, Kahsa brings her young son with her as she cleans homes to provide for their daily needs.
Kahsa is a single mother raising her three-year-old son on her own. After leaving her marriage in search of a more stable future for herself and her child, she moved to Korah and began sharing a small, one-room mud house with an elderly woman to help reduce housing costs.
Today, Kahsa earns an income by washing clothes and cleaning homes, but without reliable childcare, she often has to bring her son with her to work. Their living conditions are extremely difficult, with cattle kept directly beside their home, damaging part of the mud wall and creating an unsafe and unhealthy environment. The family also does not have access to running water, and Kahsa often struggles to provide enough food for herself and her son.
Monthly sponsorship will provide Kahsa’s family with holistic support such as food, housing, medical care, spiritual care, counselling, education, health and life skills training, income generation and business development opportunities. Being part of HFK’s Family Empowerment Program will also give this family an opportunity to participate in many of our youth, daycare, education, and community programs.
Current Need per Month $300: Sponsor $300 per mo. | $150 per mo. | $75 per mo.
