Feiza works hard to provide for her family, selling potatoes and sometimes turning to begging when food is scarce.
At just 12 years old, Feiza left home and moved to the city to find work so she could help support her mother. She later married and worked in cleaning, washing clothes, and preparing food to support her family. After her marriage became difficult, Feiza was left to raise her two children on her own.
Today, Feiza lives with her children and younger sister in a small, one-room home made of wood and mud. She was unable to continue her education and cannot read or write, making everyday tasks like completing school documents challenging. Despite the difficulties she has faced, Feiza remains determined to provide for her family and create a better future for her children.
Monthly sponsorship will provide Feiza’s family with holistic support such as food, housing, medical care, spiritual care, counselling, education, health and life skills training, income generation and business development opportunities. Being part of HFK’s Family Empowerment Program will also give this family an opportunity to participate in many of our youth, daycare, education, and community programs.
