Frehiwot has a big heart, loving and forgiving those who have hurt her in the past and always looks for the best in people.
A few months after Frehiwot was born, her mother gave her away as she was unable to care for her and her siblings. She was raised by her aunt; however, this was an abusive situation, and Frehiwot did not attend school, but rather was forced to work as a shepherd. Around 10 years of age she ran away and became homeless, living among other street children. This difficult lifestyle exposed her to the use of drugs and cigarettes. For many years she lived this way, making money begging and street vending, and fell in love with a boy who often protected her. Following this she spent four years in Syria working as a maid and was very sick during this time. Upon her return, she reconnected with her boyfriend and started a family with him. Together they have two young boys who are 7 and 2 years old. Frehiwot also reunited with her mother and took her in to live with them. Frehiwot is an energetic and self-expressive woman with a strong desire to change for the better.
