Kidus K.'s Education

Kidus consistently ranks among the top students in his class, and his favourite subjects are English and Math. The oldest of four brothers, he lives with his parents, who run a small spice business from their home. He enjoys learning both at school and at home and is a helpful son who supports his family by assisting with household responsibilities, including cleaning, washing his own clothes, and running errands. Although he is naturally quiet and sometimes takes time to open up, Kidus enjoys spending time with his friends and continues to grow in confidence through the encouragement of his family and support from HFK staff.

Kidus is enrolled in Grade 4 at Future Academy, a private elementary school in Korah that offers a higher standard of education through smaller class sizes, quality teaching, and greater individual support. An Educational Sponsorship will cover his tuition, school uniform, textbooks, school supplies, after-school tutoring, participation in Hope for Korah youth programs, and a nutritious Berta Breakfast each morning before school. This support will help Kidus break the cycle of poverty by empowering his mind and offering hope for a brighter future.
